Cheddify is a US company founded in 2025 by Michael Pettenato. It's a live video-call marketplace — buyers pay per-minute to talk to creators over video, and creators keep the majority of what they earn. If you're wondering whether it's real, whether your money is safe, and what happens when something goes wrong, this page covers it.
Payment processing
All payments run through Stripe, one of the most widely trusted payment processors in the world. Cheddify does not store your card number, CVV, or billing details — those live in Stripe's vaulted infrastructure. Your card is tokenized; Cheddify only ever sees a token, not the raw data.
Creator profiles are reviewed before going live
Creators must add a real profile photo to go live. Cheddify’s systems check that the photo contains a real face and estimate apparent age (no minors allowed). Accounts showing signs of misrepresentation are flagged for human review and can be suspended. This is not government-ID verification — it’s a platform-level quality signal that filters obvious fake or bot accounts.
Call encryption
Live video calls are powered by Agora, the same professional infrastructure used by Clubhouse and Talkspace. Calls are encrypted in transit. Cheddify does not record calls — what happens in a session stays between the two participants.
Dispute and refund process
Buyers pay only for the time they use — hang up anytime and the meter stops. For calls that went genuinely wrong, submit a dispute through your account within 24 hours. The team reviews each case and may issue a full or partial credit.
Blocking and reporting
Both sides can block each other instantly. Reports of inappropriate behavior are reviewed by the Cheddify team and can result in suspension or permanent ban. Cheddify is not an adult platform — the “Flirty” category is PG-13 maximum and explicit content will result in removal.
What to watch out for
If a creator asks you to pay outside of Cheddify (Venmo, CashApp, etc.), that's a terms violation and a scam risk — report it immediately. Reviews require completed paid calls, so review farming is expensive and rare. If something feels off, contact Cheddify or use the report button on any profile.
