Safety on a live video marketplace means several things at once: Is the call encrypted? Who can see your personal information? What are the content rules? What happens if a creator harasses you? This page covers all of it.

Call encryption

Live video and audio on Cheddify is powered by Agora, the same professional infrastructure used by Clubhouse and Talkspace. Calls are encrypted in transit. Cheddify does not record calls — what happens in a session stays between the two participants. Payment data is handled by Stripe, which vaults your card information separately from Cheddify's servers.

What creators see

When you connect with a creator, they see your username only — not your real name, email, or any other signup information. If you share personal details during the call, that's your choice. Nothing is surfaced automatically. Cheddify stores account info, call history, and platform messages but does not sell your data to third parties or share your email with creators. Content rules

Cheddify is not an adult platform. Explicit sexual content is prohibited across all categories — the “Flirty” category is PG-13 maximum. Violations result in immediate suspension and permanent ban. See the acceptable use policy for the full list.

Harassment and blocking

Both buyers and creators can block each other instantly. Blocks are permanent — the blocked party cannot find your profile, message you, or connect with you. Harassment reports are reviewed by the Cheddify team and can result in suspension or ban for either side.

Safety tips and what to do if something goes wrong

  • Never share financial info during a call. No legitimate creator will ask for your card, bank account, or OTP. Report immediately.
  • Watch for off-platform requests. Creators asking you to pay via Venmo or CashApp are violating terms — report it.
  • If you feel unsafe, hang up. You stop being billed instantly. Then use the report button in your call history and describe what happened.

Frequently asked questions

Are Cheddify calls recorded?

No. Cheddify does not record calls. The audio and video stream goes directly between participants over Agora's encrypted infrastructure — Cheddify's servers never receive it.

Can creators see my real name?

No. Creators see your username only. Your real name, email, and payment information are never shown to creators. You control what personal information you share during a call.

What if a creator harasses me?
